19th century publications

XIX century

The books and periodicals published in the 19th century that are in the Library's collection are a thematically rich collection. The humanistic and social profile includes editions of Polish and foreign literature, history, philosophy and pedagogy. 

First editions are particularly valuable, among them the first Paris edition of Pan Tadeusz from 1834.

We also have many items on law, including maritime and commercial law. The collection also includes statutes of social, school and literary organizations,
as well as many historical sources. Less well represented are the sciences and technical sciences.

Information about making available

1. Books and periodicals of the 19th century are made available only in the Special collections reading room.

2. To place an order, you need to fill in the reverse.

3. Orders are accepted until 2:30 pm.
