Accessibility Statement

Main Library of the University of Gdańsk, 53 Wita Stwosza Street

1. The entrance is wheelchair-accessible and fitted with automatic sliding doors.
2. The building has elevators with voice announcements.
3. There are toilets adapted for people with disabilities on every floor of the building.
4. There are 5 designated parking spaces for people with disabilities near the building entrance. The most convenient access to these spaces is via Gate No. 5.
5. People with disabilities are entitled to access all generally accessible areas of the building with an assistance dog.
6. A Polish sign language interpreter is available online from 8am to 4pm at MIGAM Interpreter Service ; interpreting is provided remotely via video call.
7. There are public transport stops near the Main Library building: a tram stops for lines 2, 5, 6, 8 and 12, and a bus stops for lines 149, 199 and 262.
8. The building is equipped with two stationary induction loops (reception, circulation desk) + CWP – 1 portable loop.
9. A mobile wheelchair for people with disabilities is available in the building
10. Evacuation chairs are available in the building.
