Poetry on Canvas! Exhibition of paintings by Sahar Mohammad Taghizadeh

We would like to invite you to an exhibition of paintings by Sahar Mohammad Taghizadeh Poetry on Canvas! presented as part of the BETWEEN.POMIĘDZY 2025 Festival, the official opening of which will take place on 19 May at 5 pm in the UG Main Library.   

The exhibition of paintings by Sahar Mohammad Taghizadeh Poetry on Canvas! is a cross-cultural artistic journey - a fusion of art, language and culture.

Inspired by Persian calligraphy and art, the artist interprets poetry in different languages and, going beyond the written word, brings poems to life on canvas.

The collection includes works based on poems by well-known Persian and Polish poets, as well as paintings reflecting the historical sites and cultural heritage of Sahar's homeland, Iran. These works of art are not simply illustrations of poetry, but visual interpretations of the emotions, thoughts and stories embedded in the individual works.

The exhibition will be on display from 19 May to 25 May in the Main Library in room 1.22 on the first floor.
