Information for persons with visual impairments
- There is a SAD (scanning/adaptation/digitization) service available at the Digitization Services Laboratory administered by the BON located in the BUG,
3rd floor, room 3.39, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. For more information, see Adaptations of teaching materials.
- The UG Libraries have computer workstations for the visually impaired and blind. These computers have specialized magnification and sound enhancement software (Jaws, Magic) installed. The computers are located in:
- Main Library: Reading Room I (on the first floor), Reading Room II (on the second floor);
- Humanities Library;
- Law Library;
- Economic Library,
- Cultural History Library,
- Neophilology Library,
- Oceanography Reading Room.
- In the Main Library in the Lending Library on the first floor, there is a tablet for video interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing;
- In the Main Library and specialized libraries there are stations equipped with an i-See HD desktop enlarger for the visually impaired.
