Main information
The Main Library and specialised libraries (Law Library, Economic Library, Human Sciences Library, Neophilology Library) are places that are friendly and accessible to people with disabilities. Librarians are systematically trained to serve people with disabilities. As far as possible, architectural barriers within the various units of UG Library are also being removed.
Readers with disabilities have an extended loan period for books, which for regular loans is 120 days and for short-term loans (for books from the reading rooms) is 5 days.
Parking spaces designated for people with disabilities are located in front of the Main Library, Faculty of Law and Administration, Faculty of History and Faculty of Languages.
Toilets for people with disabilities are located in the Main Library and in most of the other buildings that house specialised libraries.
At UG Library, as part of the project “Accessible UG - a comprehensive program to eliminate barriers to education for people with disabilities”, services for people with disabilities have been implemented, i.e. Library assistant and IT assistant and Research data management assistant. They make the use of UG library for people with disabilities easier and more accessible.
