The University of Gdańsk Library announces the launch of trial access to the Reaxys database, which will be active until 17 December

Reaxys is an online chemical search engine designed by chemists. It allows users to search for chemical reactions, (fragments of) chemical structures and substance properties. In practice, it is a specialist tool for chemists that helps them find information about chemical compounds, their structure, reactions and properties.

We have launched a tool in the University of Gdańsk Library catalogue that can completely change the way you search for materials.

Introducing the Primo Research Assistant – an intelligent companion that will make searching for sources faster, easier and... definitely more inspiring.

Library online training – key information

The training will be available from 20 October 2025 to 30 June 2026.

The library training is primarily intended for first-year students to familiarise them with how the UG  Library works.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, the training is open to all. It means that all interested students can access the library training after logging in to the Education Portal.

University Science Journals - Editors' Meeting

Agnieszka Kranich-Lamczyk, administrator of the University Scientific Journals platform, organised a meeting on 9 April 2025, during which editors of journals published at the University of Gdańsk had the opportunity to discuss issues related to raising the quality of journals, exchange experiences and present activities that have proved successful in the context of, among other things, internationalising journals and attracting reviewers.

LitBase - test access until May 31, 2025

LitBase is a world literature database with a modern search experience. A curated collection of critical primary texts and secondary sources, it supports research of the most studied authors, poetry, fiction, plays, and creative nonfiction worldwide.
