Grant project "Supporting consolidation processes" under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development, co-financed by the European Social Fund.
It was implemented by the Gdansk University of Technology - the project leader together with the Medical University of Gdansk and the University of Gdansk. The aim of the project was to prepare the Fahrenheit Universities to form a federation.
Tasks implemented in the libraries of Gdansk University of Technology, Gdansk Medical University and University of Gdansk:
- Implementation of a new generation library system in the Fahrenheit Universities (Phase I)
- Implementation of a unified data reporting system at Fahrenheit Universities
- Integration of library collection sharing and management services through the implementation or expansion of RFID solutions in the libraries of Fahrenheit Universities
- Building competencies in professional reader service in Fahrenheit University libraries - external trainings
- Implementation of a comprehensive program to develop the competence of librarians supporting research staff in research data management at Fahrenheit Universities
- Upgrading operating systems on workstations supporting library systems and services at Fahrenheit Universities
- Implementation of open access publishing service in journals of foreign publishers.
In the part of the project conducted at the University of Gdansk Library, the following were purchased: 6 RFID tag encoding stations (University of Gdansk Main Library), 730,000 RFID tags (University of Gdansk Main Library), 138 Windows license upgrades to version 10 at the following locations:

- Law Library of the University of Gdansk, 6 Ba¿yñskiego St., 80-309 Gdansk
- Oceanographic Reading Room of the University of Gdansk, 46 Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego Avenue, 81-378 Gdynia
- Library Resources Section (BUG storage warehouse), 9a Chodkiewicza St., 80-514 Gdansk.

The Library of the University of Gdansk is implementing a project within the "Support for scientific libraries" module of the Social Responsibility of Science program of the Ministry of Education and Science. The title of the project is: "Unique Pomeranian-Kashubian collections in the legacy of Prof. Andrzej Bukowski
in the collections of the BUG".
The aim of the project is to disseminate unique Pomeranian-Kashubian collections from the legacy of Prof. Andrzej Bukowski by making information about the collections available in the UG Library catalog and NUKAT catalog, as well as creating faithful digital copies, and then placing the digitized publications in the Pomeranian Digital Library. This will ensure access for all audiences.
