1. What is HAN

HAN -Hidden Automatic Navigator provides remote access to electronic resources – software HAN provides remote access to electronic sources of the University of Gdańsk Library – full text databases of journals and bibliographic or abstract databases from computers outside the University of Gdansk web.

2. Who is entitled to use HAN service

The remote access will be granted according to the Terms and Regulations  only for academic staff, students and PhD students of the University of Gdansk.The only condition to get the HAN access is to have valid Library Account.

3. HAN Service requirements

If you have Valid Library account:

Log in to your Patron’s Account –as a student–the login is your assigned student email, password is the same as logging into your Student’s Portal.

Loging into your Patron’s Account as UG staff–the login is your assigned university email, password is the same as logging into your eUczelnia account 

The remote access will be granted as stated in Section 2.

The access to e-resources from the home page of the Library of the University of Gdansk due to HAN system has been designed in such way that the web page recognizes computers of the authorized Users after the IP address. If you are using computers at the University of Gdansk system will connect you directly with the desired database. If you use the computer outside the campus or the library, after choosing the link to desired database a registration form appears, where you will be requested to fill with data as stated above.
