The Main Library and the specialised libraries (Law Library, Economic Library, Human Sciences Library, Neophilology Library) are places that are friendly and accessible to people with disabilities. Librarians are systematically trained to serve people with disabilities. Where possible, architectural barriers within the various UG Library units are also removed.
Readers with disabilities have an extended loan period for books, which is 120 days for regular loans and 5 days for short-term loans (books from the reading room).
Parking spaces for persons with disabilities are located in front of the Main Library, Law Library, Human Sciences Library and Neophilology Library.
Toilets for people with disabilities are located in the Main Library and in most of the other buildings that house specialised libraries.
At the UG Library, as part of the Accessible UG 2.0 project, services for people with disabilities have been implemented, i.e. library assistant, IT assistant and research data management assistant. These make using UG Library for people with disabilities easier and more accessible.
